Thousands of mandarin ducks recently arrived at Tongxi Lake in Rui'an, a county-level city administered by Wenzhou in East China's Zhejiang province, for their winter stopover.
The young ones felt right at home, resting over the water and frolicking around.
Mandarin ducks are appreciated by Chinese people as a symbol of love and marriage. Every November, they migrate thousands of miles from the northern part of China to areas south of the Yangtze River.
They will stay until March or April, so now is the season to admire these lovely birds at Tongxi Lake. However, remember not to get too close or disturb them.
