New Wenzhouese Spring-welcoming Gala Held

Recently, under the theme“Home in Wenzhou, Hearts Together”, the 2024 CCB Night, New Wenzhouese Spring-welcoming Gala was held in the city's Broadcasting Hall. Representatives from 19 provincial and 31 county-level non-local chambers of commerce convened to celebrate the New Year. Wenzhou, a hotspot for innovation and entrepreneurship, is the home of 3.67 million new Wenzhou residents.

This gala, themed“Dragon Soaring over Wenzhou, Building a Stronger City, Creating a Better Future”, featured five chapters:“Dragon Soaring Worldwide, Making a Good Start”,“Dragon Embracing Five Fortunes, Dancing into Spring”,“Dragon Diving under the Lands, Warming our Home”,“Dragon Revitalizing the Nation, Expecting an Abundant Harvest”, and“Dragon Soaring over Wenzhou, Creating a Better Future”. It celebrated the two-way journey of Wenzhou and its 3.67 million residents in the new era with a symphony of welcoming spring.

The dialect song and dance“Floral Rope Celebrating Spring: Wenzhou Is a Wonderful Place” set the tone for the evening. A skit titled“Home” bridged hearts, while performances like the Mongolian dance“Spring has Arrived” and the Hubei folk song“Tujia Wine Song”, brought by 10 provincial non-local chambers of commerce based in Wenzhou, showcased unique cultural flavors. The highlight was a chorus performance by the presidents of the 19 provincial chambers, singing“Stars and Seas”, ringing out the entrepreneurial and innovative spirit of 3.67 million New Wenzhou residents.

The gala, featuring skits, folk songs, Henan opera, Shaoxing opera, and dances, displayed diverse art forms, highlighting regional characteristics that demonstrated the entrepreneurial success of newcomers from all over China in Wenzhou. The themes of family, blessings, and happiness resonated throughout.“I feel very warm and excited to be invited to the gala,” remarked Zhang Junquan from Guizhou, a new Wenzhou resident engaged in children's playground equipment production, and expressed hopes for Wenzhou's economic prosperity in the Year of the Dragon.

The reporter also learned that the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce jointly established Resident Labor Service Cooperation Workstation with some non-local chambers of commerce in Wenzhou. With the chamber of commerce as a bridge, the workstation strengthens labor resource cooperation with all parts of the country and boosts the high-quality economic development. At the gala, 7 provincial non-local chambers of commerce and 5 municipal non-local chambers of commerce signed on the spot and became the first batch of non-local chambers of commerce in Wenzhou to establish Labor Service Cooperation Workstations.

This gala was jointly sponsored by the Wenzhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the Wenzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture Broadcasting and Tourism, the Wenzhou Municipal Veterans Affairs Bureau, the Wenzhou Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Wenzhou News Media Center, the Wenzhou Branch of China Construction Bank, and 19 provincial-level non-local chambers of commerce in Wenzhou.(ZhongXin)
