On March 13th, Yongjia hosted a tourism development conference where they issued a rallying call to establish the Nanxi River National 5A Scenic Area. This year, the Hangzhou-Wenzhou high-speed railway is set to open, with two stations located in Yongjia. Among them, the Nanxi River station in Fenglin Town presents a significant opportunity for tourism development in the Nanxi River region. Yongjia is determined to capitalize on the expanding customer base radius resulting from the high-speed rail’s opening and create an upgraded version of regional tourism, fueling a fresh surge of collective efforts.
During the conference, signing ceremonies were held for key tourism projects, provincial-level tourism resorts, and the Nanxi River Music Festivals (Starnest, Xihu, Manghe). Additionally, there was a handover ceremony for the key tasks of creating the 5A scenic area.
In recent years, Yongjia has recognized tourism as a strategic leading industry and initiated the creation of the 5A scenic area since 2012, establishing a strong foundation for its development. With the aim of becoming a premier tourist destination in the country, it has implemented coordinated efforts to attract major projects, develop key scenic spots, enhance tourism reception capacity, and establish distinctive brands, thereby expanding opportunities for the conversion of ecological value. Notably, there has been increased collaboration with prominent enterprises, robust promotion of key projects such as the Yunling provincial-level tourism resort, introduction of renowned domestic music brands, continuous improvement of the“one music park, two music blocks, three camps, four music festivals, and multiple scenic spots” layout, and comprehensive strengthening of the influence of the“Nanxi River Country Music City” brand. These endeavors have contributed to the ongoing rise of the tourism industry’ quality and efficiency.
According to reports, local authorities are taking measures to revitalize the 5A scenic area creation, with a focus on the themes of“timeless poetic landscapes and the enchanting Peach Blossom Spring” and“China’s Longevity Village”. They are committed to developing high-end scenic spots, connecting key attractions, and implementing an integrated layout to enhance the overall landscape, industry, facilities, and environment. The goal is to transform the Nanxi River into a national 5A-level tourist destination renowned for its picturesque landscapes, pristine environment, comprehensive facilities, integrated culture and tourism, and rich cultural significance. These efforts, spanning approximately four years, will further solidify its position as a prominent tourism destination in the Yangtze River Delta region.(ZhongXin)
