Recently, Mr.LiuxiaolingTong, a national first-class actor and the fourth-generation successor of the Zhang-style Monkey King Opera, visited Longgang Hongcheng Primary School to attend the inauguration ceremony of the"King of Monkeys Pastoral Book House" and unveiled the plaque for the book house.

At the event, Mr.LiuxiaolingTong mentioned the connection between Wenzhou Southern Opera and himself, narrated the history of the Zhang-style Monkey King Opera, and cleverly cited allusions from"Journey to the West" to impart to the children the life experience of"practicing seventy-two transformations and facing eighty-one difficulties with a smile." Mr. Liu Xiaoling also personally taught the essentials of performing arts on site, vividly portraying the classic character"Sun Wukong," which won thunderous applause for his profound and exquisite performance skills. Subsequently, Principal Li Honghui of Hongcheng Primary School presented Mr. Liu Xiaoling with a 20-meter-long Journey to the West scroll collaboratively painted by more than 40 students, expressing gratitude for his strong support for the school. Finally, Mr.LiuxiaolingTong donated a batch of books to the"King of Monkeys Pastoral Book House," enriching the book house with more cultural connotations and reading resources.

Hongcheng Primary School, where the book house is located, is one of the schools that joined the"Library-School Reading Community" this year. Leveraging the opportunity to join the"Reading Community," Hongcheng Primary School has comprehensively upgraded and optimized the campus library, enriching the variety and quality of books, transforming idle corners into cozy reading areas. Reading areas are set up under the shade of trees next to the playground, in the corridors outside classrooms, and even in a corner of the cafeteria, providing a high-quality reading environment to meet the spiritual and cultural needs of all teachers and students. Additionally, the school holds weekly book borrowing days, irregular book clubs, story-sharing sessions, and author lectures to add a unique touch to the school's reading activities, guiding more teachers and students to enter the book house, fall in love with reading, and empower the construction of a"fragrant campus of books."
It is reported that Longgang has innovatively launched a full-domain"Reading Community" reform, creating a"Library-School Reading Community," building the"Library-School Alliance" brand, and implementing a unified procurement andinter library loan system for documentary resources under the leadership of the library's main branch. This has promoted a"book cycle" among schools, introduced a"1+N" city study room model for national reading activities, and provided special services such as student ordering and book distribution. To date, 25 library branches have been established, 10 school libraries have been renovated and upgraded, 40,000 books have been added through student ordering, more than 30,000 books have been circulated, over 8,000 books have been donated or drifted, and more than 200 reading activities such as author visits to schools have been carried out. Next, the Propaganda United Front Department of Longgang Committee will promote more schools to join the"Library-School Reading Community," achieving interconnection and resource sharing between public libraries and school libraries.
