Lingxi Town in Cangnan County has simultaneously launched two trail projects: upgrading the Ziyun Mountain Trail in Dapo Village and constructing a new ecological trail at the Baishui Waterfall in Longquan Village. These complementary trails—focusing on mountain hiking and waterfront leisure respectively—will form an integrated“Mountain-Water Tourist Circuit”on the county outskirts. The development aims to enhance outdoor experiences for visitors while injecting new vitality into rural revitalization.
Ziyun Mountain Trail Upgrade (Dapo Village). The 1.5-kilometer Ziyun Mountain Fitness Trail, paved with 3,710 granite slabs and peaking at 369 meters above sea level, lies northeast of Shijutang Scenic Area. Its signature suspended glass walkway—already popular among outdoor enthusiasts—offers panoramic views of valleys and layered mountain ranges, with the stone path winding through verdant slopes like a resting dragon. Key upgrades include: new viewing platforms for multi-angle scenery; a lotus pond for summer respite; optimized granite path for safer climbing. Complementary facilities are improved, such as: leisure lawn, rest stations, standardized parking, signage, and landscaped courtyards. The enhanced trail will integrate sightseeing, recreation, and fitness into a comprehensive destination.
Baishui Waterfall Trail Development (Longquan Village). Across the river in Longquan Village, with an invedtment of 2 million yuan, the waterfront trail system will highlight the natural 120-meter-drop Baishui Waterfall. The project features: a 1.5-km terraced water retention area creating cascading landscapes; 500 meters of waterside walkways along the stream; ecological viewing platforms, rest points, and signage. Scheduled for completion by year-end, the village will also develop a riverside eco-campsite with functional zones for barbecues, tents, and waterfront activities, supported by sanitation and safety facilities.
Strategic Integration. The Ziyun Trail emphasizes“cloud-walking” high-altitude vistas, while Longquan’s route focuses on waterfall appreciation and streamside recreation. Under Lingxi Town’s coordinated planning, these distinct offerings will form a cohesive“Mountain-Water Circuit.”
Regional Impact.“This circuit connects natural landscapes, cultural assets, and agricultural resources into a year-round cultural-tourism model,” stated a Lingxi Town official. By leveraging ecological and agricultural advantages through scenic development and agritourism complexes, the town is charting a revitalization path powered by“beauty economy.”(ZhongXin)
