Middle school in Zhejiang offers lucrative packages to attract top educators

Cangnan Middle School in Zhejiang province is making a bold move to attract top teaching talent, offering highly competitive salaries and benefits packages.

The school, as part of a strategic initiative to bolster its academic staff and elevate educational quality within Cangnan county, has announced a nationwide recruitment drive.

Five key positions are up for grabs: a principal, two veteran teachers (one specializing in Chinese language and another in English), and two Olympiad coaches (one each for physics and mathematics).

The financial incentives are particularly noteworthy. Potential principals can command salaries exceeding 2 million yuan ($278,000) annually, while veteran teachers and coaches are offered salaries surpassing 1.5 million yuan.

Furthermore, successful candidates will be eligible for additional benefits. These include one-time bonuses of up to 1 million yuan, housing subsidies of up to 1 million yuan for those purchasing new apartments in Cangnan, and comprehensive support with professional title evaluation and family relocation.

The Bingzheng Education Fund, established with a generous 100 million yuan donation from Cangnan entrepreneur Xie Bingzheng, is fueling this ambitious recruitment campaign.

The fund allocates 20 million yuan annually, with half dedicated to attracting and retaining top educators. The remaining funds will be used to reward outstanding teachers and students, along with supporting other school development projects. (ZhongXin)
