Yongjia and Taishun rated excellent in 2023 mountainous area pairing assistance performance evaluation

Based on their successful efforts in rural revitalization, Yongjia and Taishun were rated"excellent" in the 2023 performance evaluation of the mountainous area's 26 counties pairing assistance efforts by the Provincial Agricultural Office and the Provincial Rural Revitalization Bureau. It is reported that a total of 10 mountainous counties in Zhejiang Province were rated“excellent” this year.

In Yongjia and Taishun, the respective paired assistance teams, grounded in the local circumstances, utilize their resource advantages to inject stronger momentum into the industrial development of the two areas. Simultaneously, they actively address the urgent concerns of the local population.

In Yongjia, the pairing assistance team comprises 12 Category A member units, including provincial departments, district and county governments, higher education institutions, state-owned enterprises, and financial institutions, along with 11 excellent Category B private enterprises. These units each bring unique resource advantages to the table. In 2023 alone, the Yongjia team secured 25 assistance projects for paired villages, totaling a project funding of 15.08 million RMB. A total of 235 households comprising 403 individuals from low-income farming families were assisted, with funds amounting to 1.08 million RMB allocated to support low-income households in paired villages. Moreover, meticulous planning and personalized assistance initiatives have been successfully implemented, aligning with a list of 12 individualized assistance needs for pairing counties.

To optimize the common prosperity mechanism, Yongjia County has capitalized on the resource strengths of unit members to vigorously promote major platform constructions, aiming to establish prominent platforms such as"industry development enclave,""scientific and technological innovation enclave," and"poverty alleviation enclave."

In Taishun, the assistance mechanism has undergone further enhancements. Among the 65 provincial key villages for rural revitalization, 10 villages have been paired with provincial units and 3 villages with municipal units, while 52 villages are paired with county government agencies, state-owned enterprises, and cooperative units, with 48 units in total. Through a meticulous implementation of precise assistance mechanisms, Taishun has achieved a 100% coverage of workgroup personnel in provincial key villages for rural revitalization.

In the paired assistance program, Taishun County rigorously implements the precise assistance mechanism of"one household, one policy, and one cadre". In 2023, assistance cadres in the county paired with 7691 low-income households, achieving a 100% coverage rate. The assistance group units helped Taishun County raise funds totaling 36.175 million RMB and disbursed special loans amounting to 2.36 billion RMB. What’s more, the group attracted 19 projects, facilitated investments in 8 projects, involving project investment funds of 6 million RMB. The group also assisted in purchasing agricultural and sideline products from Taishun County, amounting to over 359.4 million RMB, and implemented 32 assistance projects in each paired village, with a total project funding of 51.41 million RMB.
