Kazakh Students Embark on Cultural Immersion Journey in Cangnan Jinxiang

On June 6th, a group of Kazakh international students embarked on an immersive cultural study tour in Jinxiang Town, experiencing firsthand the richness of traditional and modern Chinese craftsmanship and rural life. The event aimed to promote cross-cultural exchange and deepen mutual understanding between China and Kazakhstan.

The students'first stop was the production workshop of Wenzhou Bowei Nameplate Co., Ltd., where they were introduced to the intricate process of metal badge manufacturing. Guided by technical staff, they witnessed how raw steel sheets are transformed into exquisite art pieces through intelligent production lines.

They marveled as robotic arms pressed badge outlines with 0.01mm precision, and laser engraving machines carved delicate patterns onto metal surfaces— prompting waves of astonishment and admiration from the young visitors.

In the company's exhibition hall, the students were greeted by a dazzling array of badges— varying in size, style, and theme. From miniature pendants to large display items, featuring iconic Chinese city landmarks and classic foreign architecture, each piece reflected unique cultural symbolism. Many students took photos and expressed their fascination with the craftsmanship.

The second stop brought the delegation to Huli Village, where 17 rare lotus varieties swayed gently under the summer sun. Winding wooden walkways stretched across the pond, leading to a floating observation deck that resembles a lotus petal resting on the water.

Strolling along the scenic paths, the students captured the beauty of blooming lotuses with their cameras or posed for photos, joyfully exclaiming“So beautiful!” in broken but enthusiastic Mandarin.

At noon, the aroma of roasted whole lamb wafted through the air at the village cultural center. Students and villagers gathered around long tables, enjoying local delicacies such as Cangnan-style meat dumplings (rouyan), using chopsticks they had just learned to wield.

After the meal, Kazakh and Chinese youth picked up guitars, blending traditional Kazakh folk songs with popular Chinese tunes— creating a spontaneous musical fusion over the tranquil lotus pond.

Before departure, everyone gathered for a group photo. According to the Jinxiang Town Government, the town plans to further leverage its rich cultural heritage and tourism resources by developing more educational programs and diverse experiential activities.
