Hoops Fever Hits Cangnan as International Teams Battle Under the Lights

On the evening of July 30th, Cangnan Sports Center in Wenzhou once again witnessed an exhilarating international basketball event—the Professional Basketball Challenge between Europe and America. The match featured the Washington Eagles from the USA against a Spanish professional men's all-star team.

From the opening tip-off, both teams were ready for battle. The Spanish all-stars secured the initial ball possession and quickly launched their offense, with player No. 22 Pedro scoring the first basket of the game. The Washington Eagles closely followed, even managing to take the lead at one point. However, three consecutive three-pointers by Spanish player No. 0 Sergio reversed the momentum once more. Adding to the excitement, a spectacular dunk by Spanish player No. 13 Kevin in the second quarter instantly ignited the crowd.

In the stands, local fans of Cangnan cheered loudly with chants of"Go! Go! Go!" to encourage the players. The intense atmosphere fueled even fiercer competition on the court. The sounds of sneakers squeaking, dribbling, shooting, and roaring cheers echoed throughout the arena. Spectacular plays such as layups, dunks, and long-range three-pointers kept the audience on the edge of their seats as both teams fought tooth and nail.

During halftime, the organizers arranged an interactive game segment where players Chen Jian, Chen Yunlong, Wang Zhengyao, and Liang Zhengdong from the"ZheBA" Cangnan team joined the fun. Each player teamed up with two audience members for a shooting contest. The winning duo received signed jerseys from the Cangnan players.

After a fiercely contested game, the Washington Eagles emerged victorious with a final score of 87-75 over the Spanish all-stars, earning thunderous applause and cheers from the audience.

As a powerhouse in sports, Cangnan County recently claimed the championship title in the"ZheBA" Wenzhou qualifier and will represent Wenzhou in the upcoming"ZheBA City Championship." Additionally, Cangnan's"Village BA" is currently in full swing, with the finals approaching. Foreign players who participated in the matches praised Cangnan as a city brimming with sports enthusiasm.
